Per David Cloninger of Gamecock Central, backup QB Tanner McEvoy is leaving the Gamecocks and transferring to another school. This is after his arrest for underage drinking and his week-long suspension from the team which ended earlier this week
Spurrier on McEvoy: "The Gamecock coaching staff and I wish Tanner all
the best as he continues his collegiate career elsewhere."
He was not at practice today. McEvoy is a redshirt freshman from Hillsdale, NJ. From Josh Kendall at The State newspaper: Fr. QB Tanner McEvoy on his transfer: ""I'm sorry, I can't comment on that right now."
