A report in the Raleigh News and Observer says that North Carolina WR Hakeem Nicks was ineligible during the 2008 season.
NCAA documents show that Nicks received improper academic help in the
spring of 2008 from a tutor implicated in the NCAA scandal at UNC. The
NCAA called what happened “academic fraud.”
UNC already got their penalties for this year, not being allowed to play in a bowl game or in the ACC championship, but this is still very interesting news. Nicks' records will get asterisks placed on them.
