Notre Dame expelling four players for cheating scandal?

Major news coming out of Notre Dame. Four Notre Dame football players are possibly being expelled due to a cheating scandal. Reddit has a thread about this: http://www.reddit.com/r/CFB/comments/2dn4r2/nd_fans_in_a_panic/

The rumors are that these four players are involved:
  • #1 CB KeiVarae Russell
  • #1 WR DaVaris Daniels
  • #1 DE Ishaq Williams
  • Reserve LB Kendall Moore
Those players were some of the most important on Notre Dame's 2013 team. I am also hearing that Notre Dame's 12 wins from 2012 may be vacated.

From @Sankey72 on Reddit: Rumor coming out now, that it has something to do with Academic Advisers doing some shady crap. Rumors to go along with this are expulsions for these players not just suspensions as well as vacated wins. This allegedly is from 2012 and not from this summer.

From Dan Murphy, Blue and Gold Insider:

A foursome of Notre Dame veterans was not seen leaving the Irish practice field Friday afternoon. Cornerback KeiVarae Russell, defensive end Ishaq Williams, linebacker Kendall Moore and wide receiver DaVaris Daniels were not among the players who exited the LaBar Practice Field Friday.
Notre Dame did not respond to questions about their absence. The Irish are planning to host a practice open to faculty and media Saturday morning.
