Former Clemson player Groover dies

In a sad bit of news today, former Clemson football player Cory Groover has died. Groover was a former Hannah-Pamplico player who played DT for Clemson back in 2004 and 2005. Groover started 5 games in his Clemson career.

At Hannah-Pamplico, he was a Defensive Player-of-the-Year as a senior, and was named a USA Today preseason All-American. He had 152 tackles and eight sacks as a senior, rushed for 1,002 yards on 110 carries; and also had nine catches for 284 yards, also adding 307 yards on kickoff returns, and scored 27 touchdowns as a senior. He played for Stan Drawdy at Hannah-Pamplico High.

He was on life support after getting hit by a dump truck earlier this week.

Prayers to him and his family.
